Abrimed was founded in 2007 to help companies in need of regulatory affairs identify consultants and companies able to provide these services. The directory lists electrical and mechanical engineers/engineering firms, regulatory affairs professionals, healthcare professionals, legal professional and others. Many healthcare industry segments are addressed with emphasis on medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, clinical diagnostics and dietary supplements. General industry is addressed in areas of ISO regulatory compliance and certification. Regulatory services address each phase of a product’s life cycle from conception, through design, development, clinical trials, regulatory approvals, market introduction, sales, distribution, manufacturing and ongoing program management.

Initially focused on California, the directory has grown to include domestic firms throughout the US, as well as international firms mainly in Europe and Asia. These firms may work with government agencies, public and private research institutes, laboratories and industry.
